1) Is there any update on this topic ? It was started at the beginning of November 06. Now in few days it will be April 07. It is 5 months without any news from Gaile.

2) I very strongly agree with person who wrote about second class titles for PVE for doing a lot and nice emote for one title in PvP. ANet should understand that there is a LOT of people who are not fans of PvP

3) I'm also troubled by news about next expansion. Only 100 new skills ? Surely they won't do 90% of them elites. So my title will stay unmaxed.

ok,we all know that GW:EN is the last expantion for gw1.

I am all for a reformat of a fair change
BUT in order to keep the "kind of a big deal" title still kind of a big deal.Why not do this:remove the exsisting non-max title (which is notable to be maxed) to campaign specific titles that are based on ALL skills in that campaign per charecter.(not just elites) In my eyes this would be fair to be called a title and still keep the kind of a big deal just that.

and to all those that that think its too much?look at sweet tooth and drunkard titles........nuf said.......

About a week ago I asked Gaile about this on one of her Kamadan visits. She said she'd get back to us. next time I saw her there again, she said she was given word that the skill hunter title split would come with Hard Mode, which should be here before April 20th, if you go by the March 20th statement of "within a month." Though recently they've been a bit more dodgy about the April deadline: "sometime in April, before the end of April."

Gaile just an idea I've had (don't know if someones come up with it already, I haven't had time to read through this entire thread).

Split the title as proposed, then you have your Tyrian/Canthan/Elonan Cartographer/Skill Hunter/Protector titles, how about a title for getting all the ones from each campaign including GW:EN. Then for those that can achieve all 4 of those give them a title for that, maybe even have it carry over into GW2 in some way (possibly a title or maybe some extra bling for our GW2 characters or maybe something to do with the monument thingy). Like I said just an idea.

That 16.82% that voted against change title, did it because they feared to lose the old title or something, hahaha! so 100% want the change. Maybe I already posted that but I don't really remember, this thread is plenty big and old; Anyway, the title change is a fact, no more to discuss here.

I rly dont want campaign specific titles for this.

Exchanging one cool title for 3 or 4 weak ones is not my idea of title improvement.

Right now I am nearing the 290 elites, and I worked my butt off to get all of them. Why should titles allways be maxable? For the Kind of a big deal title track? lolol. I dont want to become Tyrian Skill hunter, or Canthan skill hunter, because such titles are lame and easy to get, this will lower the titles to the level of the sunspear title track.

My suggestion is making it so that with GWEN the total number of elites is 380 and make Master Skill Hunter (6) the max title. Then you would have a cool title. And the people who dont own all games should stop complaining

No title is as easy to get than Sunspear, so you can forget about that.

Perhaps, people who DO own all campaigns should stop complaining.

IMO - since GW is being "killed off" in favor of GW2 (I do understand that you will still be able to play GW) the skill cap title should be left as it is - but you should be able to max it out, spending so much money on sigs and getting no reward for it is an abominable way forward. I am currently on my way to expert and only recently discovered that I could never max it (kind of like sunspear and lightbringer) I gained Legendary Survivor and 3 prot titles, then I decided to work on the caps - all 11 characters on my primary account have completed all 3 campaigns, so the international protector would be good for me. n e ways - unless there is a way to max out this title - I am going to stop wasting money on caps I already have (at least my heroes will benefit from those I have capped).

Why not have the option to do either / or?

Just make it so BOTH the current Skill Hunter (assuming it is made to max) and the other will not count towards KOABD track.

You can max Lightbringer, it just takes (gasp) work. I've been grinding in my spare time and am ~ halfway there, at 23,000 points. Sure, it's taking a long time, but that's what makes it rewarding.

Sunspear and skill can't be though, and should be possible.

If getting individual titles is "easy", getting the current one is easy too; Indeed, the title is NOT "hard", it's expensive and time consuming, and that isn't my definition of "Hard"; maybe it's just my own way to understand the word "Hard". For me, "Hard" is when you can't complete a mission (or whatever) by your own, using 100% of your brain

I think that most people have missed the point here.

The key thing to remember is that you can only display ONE title at a time.
The fact is I’m going to have to lose my Elite Skill Hunter Title.. for 3 lesser, easier to get ones..

So which one of the 3 titles am I going to wear… answer… NONE.

Oh yeah.. the argument that I will now have the K.O.A.B.D. title… so what? I already have it and don’t wear it… ‘cause people assume I’ve got 3 Protector titles and spent a whole lot of Pay-Pal cash on getting sweet tooth & drunkard!...
No , ‘Kind of a Big Deal’ is not for me…

Anyway its all for nothing.. GW is already dieing, and will be dead as soon as GW2 is here, and what are all these titles are worth? A unique item or pet in GW2 that can be bought with daddy’s credit card?

Gaile in game has said on a couple occasions that this title should be updated by the end of the month/the introduction of Hard Mode

Will this actually happen? That Im not so sure of, but I personally asked it to her one day.

I think I already posted about this but the word "international" has no sense in a medieval world, it's just my opinion. I hope Arenanet comes with a creative name for the title, as always.

Also, a good idea could be add something similar with the Protector and Guardian titles; Something like "Master Protector" when you have the 3 Protector titles. Also "Master Cartographer". No need to count as a maxed title.

Kills me when people say that the Elite Skill tracking is easy. It is much harder than Cartographer since it requires a ton of cash and skill points just to buy the caps. As a Cartographer I can partner up with fellow runners and cover large chunks of the various continents easily and for FREE.

The reality is that each title has it's problems. I'm sure most of us have been in mission groups with PUG's who go AFK after a few minutes just so they can collect the Protector titles. Wisdom just takes lots of cash. Same with Treasure hunter. Not that hard to run certain areas and find chests. Don't get me started on Drunkard.

To capture all the Elites requires that you go through every mission, virtually every location, and you have to kill things. It requires team work and skill.

I don't say is easy, I say is not hard

I mean, the hard part is get the money, unlock the areas, etc., but the act of capturing the skills is not that hard, just time consuming.
